The Qualty Management Department of MTA SZTAKI is the coordinator of the Best Practise in E-commerce and Job Role Qualifications project.

MTA SZTAKI is the Computer and Automation Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Science. The fundamental task of the Institute is to perform basic- and application oriented research in an interdisciplinary setting in the field of computer science, intelligent systems, process control, wide-area networking and multimedia. Contract-based target research, development, training and expert support for domestic and foreign industrial, governmental and other partners are important activities of the Institute, as well. MTA SZTAKI is a leading research group in the fields of e-commerce. They will apply the results for SMEs across Eastern Europe and in the University of Science in Budapest, Hungary.



ISCN (International Software Consulting Network) is a small Irish firm with a software development office in Austria. ISCN coordinates a network of highly experienced consultants, and is the main coordinator of the EuroSPI initiative. ISCN consultants have large experience with e-commerce and will apply the results for SMEs in Western Europe and in the Irish technology colleges in cooperation with Tecnet (network of all colleges in Ireland).

The General Foundation of Valladolid University is a non-profit organisation created in 1996 by the University of Valladolid and the Chamber of Commerce.

This Foundation has two main objectives:

  • To promote the relationship between the University of Valladolid and the society
  • To contribute to the improvement of the services given by the University of Valladolid.


The General Foundation organisation delivers different services to Valladolid University and Castilla y León society, being the target audiences students, recent graduates, professors and SMEs. These are the following ones:


  • Information and promotion of services related to regional, national and European R&D, training and employment services programmes
  • Organisation, management and development of own projects with the mission of being:
    • Incubator of new vocational training packages, entrepreneurship and mobility projects for employment services
    • A reference point for the promotion of the IST
    • Creation of services which helps SMEs adaptation
    • Creation of services which helps to the improvement of the University


  • Career guidance and employment orientation.
  • Management of job placements at European, national and regional level for Valladolid University students and graduates.
  • Management of mobility programmes for granted students and recent graduates.


  • Administration and management of intellectual property rights.
  • Administration and management of Valladolid University R&D&I projects.
  • Management, coordination and development of own R&D&I projects.
  • Administration, management and promotion of spin off services.


  • Administration and management of training courses, postgraduate courses and master degrees of the University of Valladolid.
  • Languages courses (Spanish for foreigners, English, German, French, Italian and Portuguese) for students, professors and SMEs

TecNet (Technology Network) is a co-ordinator of research activities in 13 Irish technical colleges. E-Commerce is a very important field which is addressed by TecNet and different groups in the technical colleges are working together. TecNet would contribute e-Commerce knowledge to the project as well as contribute the results back to 13 national education institutions in Ireland for the use within their educational programs.

DANUBE represents a partner of the Austrian innovation relay center and coordinates a regional consortium of the social partners, leading research organisations, and local industries, working together in aspects of innovation and training and education. Danube is a service organisation for the EU programmes for the Northern parts of Austria and will apply the E-Commerce Jobs results in collaboration with the University of Technology in Vienna.
